Farm Families to be Recognized at Statehouse

On March 23, Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch and Indiana State Department of Agriculture (ISDA) Director Bruce Kettler will be presenting Hoosier Homestead Awards to more than 60 farming families, recognizing their commitment to Indiana
agriculture.
The Lt. Governor and ISDA director will offer remarks and present the Hoosier Homestead Awards beginning at 1 p.m. EST.
The Hoosier Homestead program is administered by ISDA and has recognized more than 5,000 farms since its inception in 1976. To be named a Hoosier Homestead, farms must be owned by the same family for more than 100 consecutive years;
and consist of more than 20 acres or produce more than $1000 of agricultural products per year.
