Easter Egg Hunting Opportunities at State Parks

Families won't have to look hard to find Easter egg hunting opportunities near them, thanks to Indiana's state parks.

The Easter egg hunting season at state parks opens March 24 and runs through Easter Sunday, April 1. Events are free after paying the standard entrance fee of $7 per in-state vehicle or $9 per out-of-state vehicle.

The events are:

- Shakamak State Park, March 24, 10 to 10:45 a.m.

- Potato Creek State Park, March 31, 10:30 a.m.

- Versailles State Park, March 31, 11 a.m.

- Brown County State Park/Abe Martin Lodge, March 31: 11 a.m., kids 3 years old and younger; noon, kids ages 4 to 6 years old; 1 p.m. kids ages 7 to 10 years old.

- Summit Lake State Park, March 31: Hunt starts at 1 p.m.; other activities begin at noon.

- Pokagon State Park/Potawatomi Inn, March 31, 1 to 3 p.m.

- Whitewater Memorial State Park, April 1, 2 to 3 p.m.

- Harmonie State Park, March 31, 10 a.m. Central Time.
