Jan. 25-25 Meetings on Proposed Gypsy Moth Treatments
Indiana Ag Connection - 01/19/2018

The public can learn about proposed gypsy moth treatments in Fulton and Marshall counties during three meetings this month with representatives of the Department of Natural Resources.

The first meeting is Tuesday, Jan. 23, at 6 p.m., at Argos Public Library, 142 N. Michigan St., Argos.

The final two meetings are both on Jan. 25, at 3 p.m. and again at 6 p.m., at Plymouth Public Library, 201 N. Center St., Plymouth.

Staff from the DNR Division of Entomology & Plant Pathology will discuss where the invasive gypsy month is in Indiana, why it's a problem, and how to deal with it.

Locations of proposed treatment sites for gypsy moths are at gypsymoth.IN.gov. Sites proposed for treatment in 2018 in Marshall and Fulton counties include Tiosa, Argos, Green Township and Plymouth.

While open to anyone, the meetings will be geared toward residents living within and near the proposed treatment sites. The DNR will welcome questions and comments.
