Call for Entries: 16th Annual Indiana Agriculture Photo Contest

The Indiana State Department of Agriculture has officially opened submissions for the 16th annual Indiana Agriculture Photo Contest. This esteemed contest, running throughout June, invites all Indiana residents to showcase their talent and appreciation for the hard work of Hoosier farmers, as well as the scenic beauty of Indiana's agricultural landscape.

Participants are invited to submit up to five digital photos, with each photo accompanied by a submission form. The entries will be judged based on creativity, composition, and how well they represent their respective categories. The submission deadline is June 30 at 5:00 p.m.

The contest encourages photographers to capture the diverse facets of agriculture in Indiana. The following categories are open for submissions:

1. On the Farm: Showcasing the buildings, equipment, and activities that define life on an Indiana farm.

2. Faces of Agriculture: Featuring the individuals responsible for producing food, fuel, and fiber in Indiana.

3. Agritourism: Highlighting the seasonal and agricultural destinations of Indiana, such as orchards, wineries, and farmer's markets.

4. Conservation: Showcasing the natural beauty of Indiana through landscapes, water, and wildlife.

A total of ten winners will be selected, with two winners chosen from each category and two overall winners. The winners will be invited to a special ceremony held at the Indiana State Fair, where their outstanding contributions will be acknowledged. Additionally, the winning photographs will be displayed at the Lt. Governor's office in Indianapolis throughout the year.
