Nature's Mating Game Event Adds Ice Hike Option

Learn how other species reproduce during Turkey Run Inn's nature's mating game event on Feb. 12.

Enjoy dinner, desserts, a cash bar, and a glimpse at the adult side of the natural world. Tickets are available for purchase online: natures_mating_game.eventbrite.com. The program after dinner will cover why Indiana's wildlife might select a partner, how they mate, and what advantages come with unique anatomy. The event will conclude with a humorous demonstration of one of Indiana's most complex mating strategies.

Overnight lodging is available at Turkey Run Inn. A $259.99 package for two includes dinner, program, overnight room, and breakfast on Sunday morning. The package must be booked through Kristina Hale, sales director, at 765-569-6020 or khale@dnr.IN.gov.

Another activity has just been added to the program. Event participants can register for a special Guided Ice Hike at 4 p.m. that is open only to them. Email Aaron Douglass at adouglass@dnr.IN.gov after purchasing tickets or package to register.

Standard park entrance fees of $7 per in-state vehicle and $9 per out-of-state vehicle apply.

Turkey Run State Park (on.IN.gov.turkeyrunsp) is at 8121 East Park Road in Marshall.
