Beck’s Hybrids and Indiana AgriNews have opened nominations for the 29th Indiana Farm Family of the Year award. For nearly 30 years, this honor has recognized the dedication, service, and excellence of Indiana’s farm families.
Each year, one deserving family is celebrated for its contributions to agriculture and its positive impact on the community. Beck’s and Indiana AgriNews believe that family farms are the foundation of rural life and vital to agriculture’s continued success.
“At Beck’s, we believe that family farms are essential to the vitality of agriculture and rural life,” said Beck’s President Scott Beck. “This recognition honors a family whose actions reflect that belief through dedication and service.”
James Henry, Executive Editor of Indiana AgriNews, also shared the importance of this recognition. “We’re proud to spotlight their dedication to agriculture and community, and to recognize one outstanding family as the 29th Indiana Farm Family of the Year.”
Nominations for the 2026 Indiana Farm Family of the Year are now being accepted. Anyone who knows a farm family that demonstrates excellence in farming and service to the community is encouraged to nominate them. The deadline to submit nominations is October 1, 2025.
The selected family will be honored at two major events. First, they will be recognized at the Indiana Farm Bureau State Convention in December 2025. Later, they will be celebrated during the Purdue Fish Fry in February 2026, a popular agricultural event in Indiana.
This award continues to shine a spotlight on the important role family farms play in shaping the future of agriculture. It also reminds us of the hard work, values, and commitment that these families bring to their farms and their communities.
