DNR's Cote Wins Horticultural Society Award

The Horticultural Inspection Society Central Chapter (HISCC) presented the Robert McAdams Award to Ken Cote of the Indiana DNR Division of Entomology & Plant Pathology at its 49th annual meeting in Fargo, N.D.

The McAdams Award is presented yearly to honor a nursery inspector for their service and professionalism to both their state and HISCC. Cote is the second honoree from Indiana in the award's 19-year history.

Cote has been a nursery inspector with the Indiana DNR for 17 years, serving 13 counties in the south-central part of the state. He manages the DNR's kudzu eradication program and is active in state efforts to monitor and survey for a wide range of other invasive species.

HISCC includes Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
