Indiana Farm Bureau (INFB) has announced that submissions are now open for the 2026 INFB Photo Contest. The competition provides photographers with an opportunity to showcase the importance of agriculture, farming communities, and rural life across Indiana. Entries will be accepted through September 30, 2026.
The annual contest encourages participants to capture meaningful moments that highlight the agricultural industry and its impact on daily life. Whether taken on farms, in rural communities, or during agricultural activities, photographs should reflect the values, people, and traditions that make agriculture an important part of Indiana.
This year’s contest features three unique categories, allowing photographers to present different aspects of agriculture and rural culture.
The first category, Red, White & Rural, invites entries that celebrate America’s 250th birthday while highlighting the strong connection between agriculture and the American spirit. Photographs in this category can showcase patriotism, rural traditions, and the role farming plays in supporting communities across the nation.
The second category, Women Who Cultivate, focuses on recognizing women who contribute to agriculture through farming, leadership, innovation, and community involvement. The category also supports the celebration of the International Year of the Woman Farmer by highlighting the achievements and dedication of women in the agricultural sector.
The third category, Ag in the Spotlight, encourages participants to capture the beauty of farming and rural Indiana. Entries may include farm landscapes, livestock, crops, agricultural activities, or everyday moments that reflect life in rural areas.
Indiana Farm Bureau aims to use the contest as a platform to share positive stories about agriculture through photography. The competition offers an opportunity for both amateur and experienced photographers to demonstrate their creativity while promoting awareness of the agricultural industry.
One winner will be selected from each of the three categories. Each winning photographer will receive a cash prize of $250 in recognition of their work and contribution.
In addition to the prize money, the winning photographs will be featured at the Indiana Ag Gathering, which will take place in French Lick from December 10 to 12, 2026. The display will allow attendees to view and appreciate images that represent the strength, beauty, and diversity of Indiana agriculture.
The contest serves as an exciting opportunity for individuals to share their perspective on farming, rural communities, and agricultural traditions while gaining recognition for their photographic talent.
