The College of Agriculture Class of 1976 is preparing to celebrate an important milestone as alumni gather for a special 50-year reunion luncheon. The event will provide graduates with an opportunity to reconnect with former classmates, strengthen professional and personal relationships, and learn about the latest developments within the college.
Organized by Ag Alumni, the reunion is designed to honor five decades of accomplishments, memories, and contributions made by members of the Class of 1976. The gathering will bring together alumni who have played important roles in agriculture and related industries while maintaining a strong connection to their alma mater.
The reunion luncheon is scheduled for Friday, November 6, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event will serve as both a celebration and an information-sharing opportunity for attendees. Alumni will have the chance to meet old friends, exchange experiences, and reflect on the many changes that have taken place in agriculture since their graduation.
A highlight of the program will be remarks from Glenn W. Sample Dean of Agriculture, Bernie Engel. As the college’s leader, Bernie Engel will share updates on recent achievements, programs, and future priorities. These insights will help alumni stay informed about the continued growth and success of the College of Agriculture.
In addition to the dean’s presentation, attendees will hear from a guest speaker representing the college. The speaker will provide further updates and information about ongoing initiatives, helping graduates gain a better understanding of current developments and opportunities within the institution.
The reunion also offers a valuable chance for alumni to celebrate the lasting impact of agricultural education. Over the past 50 years, graduates from the Class of 1976 have contributed to farming, agribusiness, research, education, and community development. Their achievements reflect the importance of agricultural leadership and innovation across generations.
The luncheon will be offered free of charge, making it accessible to all eligible alumni. However, registration will be required to assist organizers with event planning and preparations. Early registration is encouraged to ensure accurate attendance arrangements.
As the reunion date approaches, excitement continues to build among graduates who look forward to reconnecting with classmates and celebrating a shared history. The event promises an enjoyable afternoon of fellowship, learning, and recognition of the enduring bond between the College of Agriculture and its alumni community.
