Fort Harrison to Host WWII Pacific Theater Re-Enactment

The Museum of 20th Century Warfare at Fort Harrison State Park will host a World War II Pacific Theater historic display and re-enactment on Aug. 15 and 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event will feature equipment, uniforms, and weapons used in the campaign. At 12:30 p.m. on both days, museum staff will present a lecture in the Visitor Center on the various WWII Pacific Theater conflicts. On Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m., volunteer living historians will conduct a re-enactment in the Camp Glenn Historic District.

The Museum of 20th Century Warfare is a volunteer-run, non-profit museum whose mission is to honor veterans through service and education with integrity. The museum presents a schedule of military-themed events at Fort Harrison State Park throughout the year.

The program is a free event but the gate entrance fee applies. For more information, please contact the park Visitor Center at 317-591-0122 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
