CIBO Boosts Farmer Programs Across Supply Chains

CIBO Boosts Farmer Programs Across Supply Chains

By Jamie Martin

Ingredion has entered into a three-year partnership with CIBO Technologies to strengthen regenerative agriculture practices across its supply chain. This move reflects the increasing importance of technology in modern farming and sustainability efforts.

Ingredion has already made strong progress in responsible sourcing, with a high percentage of its main crops sourced sustainably. To further improve, the company needs reliable systems to handle complex data and ensure accurate tracking of sustainability goals. CIBO’s platform is designed to meet these needs.

Through this collaboration, more farmers will be encouraged to join sustainability programs. The focus will be on key agricultural regions, where farmers will receive support through CIBO’s Trusted Advisor Network. This network provides guidance, technical knowledge, and assistance in adopting improved farming methods.

"Through our sustainability programs, we are demonstrating how responsible sourcing can deliver long-term benefits for our growers, our partners and the planet," said Brian Nash, Vice President, Corporate Sustainability at Ingredion.

"With CIBO, we now have the infrastructure to truly scale responsible sourcing while engaging with more farmers. Their software platform collects data that enables us to demonstrate progress using global standards. More importantly, that data will help us support farmers and our customers in collectively building climate resilient supply chains," said Nash.

CIBO also offers advanced tools such as remote sensing and computer-based analysis to monitor farm activities. These tools help collect important data and measure how well sustainable practices are being followed. This makes it easier for Ingredion to meet compliance requirements and global standards.

The company is working towards sourcing all priority crops sustainably by 2030. With the help of CIBO’s data systems, Ingredion can create clear benchmarks and evaluate farm performance in a consistent way.

"As companies expand sustainable practices across their supply chains, they need high-integrity solutions that can scale with their program," said Sunand Menon, Executive Chairman and CEO of CIBO Technologies.

"With our proprietary modeling and AI, and advanced analytics, CIBO streamlines fragmented data and workflows and generates insights at scale—making it easier for Ingredion to monitor and confidently report on the progress made across its supply shed," said Menon.

Leaders from both companies believe this partnership will improve transparency, support farmers, and create stronger agricultural systems. It also shows how digital innovation can play a key role in building a more sustainable and climate-friendly future for agriculture.
