Free Indiana Beef Producer Event

Free Indiana Beef Producer Event

By Andi Anderson

The Indiana Beef Cattle Association hosts the Area Eight Beef Meeting to support beef producers across the region. This free educational event takes place on January 6, 2026, at the Cass County Fairgrounds in Logansport, Indiana. All beef producers are welcome to attend.

The meeting provides a friendly space for learning, sharing ideas, and building strong farm connections. It includes fellowship time, door prizes, and presentations from educational speakers who share helpful tips for beef farm success.

The event focuses on improving herd care, farm planning, and business growth. Speakers share simple guidance that helps producers improve animal health, manage feed use, and strengthen farm income. The goal is to support safe, healthy, and productive beef operations.

Producers also learn about new farm tools and programs available through Purdue Extension and the Indiana Beef Cattle Association. These resources help farmers stay informed about current farm practices, health rules, and business support services.

The Cass County Fairgrounds location offers easy access for regional producers. The meeting setting allows farmers to ask questions and share experiences in a relaxed and supportive learning space.

Registration is encouraged. Producers may reserve a spot by calling Purdue Extension in Howard County or by sending an email. Online registration is also available through the Indiana Beef website. Early registration helps organizers prepare materials and seating.

The meeting welcomes all participants and follows university rules that support equal access and fair treatment. If you are in need of accommodations to attend this program, please contact R. Mathias Ingle ANR Extension Educator Howard County prior to the meeting at 765-456-2313 or howardces@purdue.edu by December 22, 2025.

Producers who need special support, such as accessibility help or language assistance, are asked to contact the Howard County Extension office before the event. This allows the team to prepare needed services in advance.

The Area Eight Beef Meeting supports strong rural communities by sharing knowledge, encouraging safe farming practices, and building local partnerships. It helps beef producers stay informed, connected, and ready for the new production year.
