The Agronomy Center for Research & Education (ACRE) invites students, scholars, and researchers to join Experience ACRE, a unique event celebrating agricultural research and innovation.
Scheduled for August 6, this event offers a fresh, interactive way to present scientific work without traditional posters.
This year, the classic poster session is replaced with the Research PROPosal, where each participant brings a single prop to communicate their project. Whether it’s a plant, photo, soil core, sensor, handmade item, or a symbolic object, participants will creatively share their research stories through a 3–4-minute informal talk.
Open to undergraduate and graduate students, postdocs, and visiting scholars with projects connected to ACRE, the event encourages both individual and team presentations, though only one prop per team is allowed. Participants will have a table provided, and can request special setups in advance.
Judging will be based on creativity, clarity, and how well the prop connects to the research. Winners will be announced during the evening’s program.
Here’s the event agenda:
- 4:00–5:45 p.m.: Networking and Research PROPosal
- 5:45 p.m.: Welcome and remarks
- 6:00 p.m.: Catered meal
- 6:30 p.m.: Research PROPosal winners announced
Registration is required to attend, with the deadline set for Wednesday, August 6.
Experience ACRE is not just an academic gathering—it’s a fun and engaging platform to connect, learn, and celebrate agricultural research in an innovative way.
