Ag in the Classroom Workshop for Teachers This June

By Andi Anderson

Educators are encouraged to attend the Ag in the Classroom Summer Workshop taking place on June 5, 2025, at the Farmstead Inn Conference Center in Shipshewana, Indiana. The workshop runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET and offers an engaging opportunity to learn how to integrate agriculture-related content and materials into the classroom setting.

The cost to attend is $30 per person, which includes all educational materials and lunch. The event is open to teachers of all grade levels interested in bringing agricultural awareness and learning into their classrooms.

Participants will explore hands-on, practical teaching tools that make agriculture both fun and relevant for students. Teachers who attend will also earn six Professional Growth Plan (PGP) points, supporting their continued professional development.

Organized by Indiana Agriculture in the Classroom (IN AITC), this summer workshop aims to connect educators with resources that highlight the importance of farming, food production, and rural life in Indiana and beyond.

For more information or questions about the event, participants can contact the IN AITC team by emailing inaitc@infb.org or calling 317-692-7846.

Whether you're new to agriculture education or looking to refresh your approach, this one-day workshop offers valuable insights and materials to help you inspire students with real-world knowledge about food, farming, and the environment. More event details will be announced soon.
