Dry conditions throughout the state have corn and soybeans rated at 62% good-to-excellent in USDA’s latest Crop Progress Report released Monday afternoon. Corn is 97% planted while soybeans are 95% complete.
USDA NASS Indiana State Statistician Nathanial Warenski says, “Planting progress for both corn and soybeans were all but complete with both crops wrapping up ahead of their respective five-year averages.”
Indiana corn is 85% emerged while soybeans are at 78%.
