Indiana Farm Bureau Shines at Fair

The 2025 Indiana State Fair will feature a range of events sponsored by the Indiana Farm Bureau (INFB), emphasizing the importance of agriculture in the state. As the largest farming organization in Indiana, INFB is dedicated to supporting agriculture education and engaging youth through various events.

Randy Kron, INFB president, expressed enthusiasm for these initiatives: "By sharing our story with consumers, we hope visitors walk away with a better understanding of the work we do every day."

One of the highlight events is the annual Taste From Indiana Farms, hosted by the INFB Women’s Leadership Committee. Taking place from Thursday, Aug. 7 to Sunday, Aug. 10, this free event will allow visitors to sample foods made from Indiana-grown ingredients.

Commodities like lamb, carrots, soybeans, pork, dairy, apples, honey, and popcorn will be featured.

“Taste From Indiana Farms has been a staple of INFB’s presence at the state fair for over 30 years,” said Janis Highley, INFB’s 2nd vice president.

In addition, INFB will continue supporting youth engagement through the 4-H youth livestock competitions, being the presenting sponsor of the Exhibitor Experience for livestock exhibitors. The event provides a place for exhibitors to relax and participate in games and activities.

INFB’s commitment to youth extends beyond the fair, with scholarships, FFA advocacy days, and leadership events to encourage future agricultural leaders.

The 2025 Indiana State Fair will run from Friday, Aug. 1 to Sunday, Aug. 17, and will close each Monday.
