Farm Credit Mid-America has announced the appointment of Chase Harris as the new Vice President of Agricultural Lending for the east central region of Indiana. Based in the Bluffton office, Harris will work closely with the regional team to support large agricultural producers and agribusiness customers.
Harris brings a decade of experience within the organization, having held several important sales roles. Most recently, he served as the Regional Vice President for the Crop Insurance team in northern Indiana. His strong background in sales and agricultural services makes him well suited for his new leadership role. Harris earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and Professional Selling from Ball State University, further strengthening his professional expertise.
His appointment reflects the company’s focus on supporting farmers and improving financial services in rural communities. Gary Coleman, regional vice president of agricultural lending in Indiana, shared his confidence in Harris’s abilities. He stated, “Chase truly cares about helping agriculture and rural communities thrive and has the knowledge and experience to make a meaningful impact on our current and future customers.”
Beyond his professional achievements, Harris is actively involved in his local community. He enjoys working on wildlife habitat projects on his farm and contributes to several local organizations. He serves as a board member for the Wells County Ag Scholarship Committee, the East Central Indiana Quail Forever Chapter, and the Go for the Flag Fundraiser. In addition, he volunteers as a youth basketball coach, showing his commitment to community development and youth engagement.
Harris expressed enthusiasm about his new role and future responsibilities. He said, “One opportunity I am most excited for is partnering with operations to position them for success and ensure an exceptional experience for our customers – not just for today, but for the future as well.” He further added, “I look forward to being a trusted partner who can support our team in making strategic decisions that drive long-term viability and sustainable growth and success for our customers.”
