Indiana Grown and the Indiana State Department of Agriculture are excited to announce that the 2025 Ultimate Farmers Market contest is back for its third year, giving statewide recognition to the best local farmers markets.
This year, 27 counties across Indiana are represented, with markets such as the Columbus Farmers Market in Bartholomew County and the Franklin Farmers Market in Johnson County participating.
“Indiana’s Ultimate Farmers Market allows communities to support their local farmers market by voting for their favorite,” said Caroline Patrick, director of the Indiana Grown Program. “It’s more than just casting a vote; it’s a way for consumers to champion their hometown markets and help others discover Indiana-grown products.”
Voting for the contest began recently and will run through August 11, 2025. Fans of farmers markets are encouraged to vote once per day, per person. To vote, simply visit the contest website at indianagrown.org.
The winning farmers market will be announced on August 13, 2025, and will earn statewide recognition for its dedication to promoting Indiana-grown products and supporting local farmers.
