After nearly four decades of dedicated service, Indiana Farm Bureau (INFB) Chief Operating Officer and Treasurer Mark Sigler has announced his retirement, effective September 1, 2025. Sigler has been a key figure in building and maintaining the internal operations and financial stability of the organization.
INFB President Randy Kron praised Sigler’s leadership, saying, “Mark’s decades of service have helped build the strong foundation our organization stands on today.” Sigler will continue to serve as treasurer through the end of 2025 to help prepare the 2026 budget.
To ensure a smooth leadership transition, Megan Ritter has been appointed as the next COO. Until she officially takes over on September 1, 2025, she will serve as interim Chief Administrative Officer.
Ritter brings almost 15 years of experience at INFB, with past leadership roles in public policy and strategic development. She also has prior experience with Farm Bureau organizations in Iowa and Michigan.
Ritter is deeply involved in Indiana’s agriculture community through various boards, including AgriNovus Indiana and Purdue University’s Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory advisory committee. Her family also raises sheep and pigs for their children’s participation in 4-H and FFA programs.
“Megan has been instrumental in advancing our strategic priorities and strengthening our internal operations,” said Kron. “She is deeply committed to Indiana agriculture and brings a strong combination of knowledge, experience and people-focused leadership into this role.”
Indiana Farm Bureau thanked Mark Sigler for his lasting contributions and welcomed Megan Ritter into her new leadership position, inviting all members and partners to support this important transition.
