The search is on for outstanding seniors deserving of recognition through the 2024 Golden Hoosier Award. Established 17 years ago, this esteemed program celebrates the lifelong service and commitment of senior citizens to their communities in Indiana.

Nominations Now Open: Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch, along with the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration’s Division of Aging, invites nominations for the Golden Hoosier Award until Sunday, July 14. This is an opportunity to honor individuals who have dedicated themselves to serving their neighborhoods and communities selflessly.

Criteria for Eligibility: To qualify for nomination, individuals must:

  • Be current residents of Indiana.
  • Be aged 65 or older.
  • Have volunteered in their community for the past three years, showcasing a commitment to service.

How to Nominate: Nomination forms are available online at https://www.in.gov/core/index.html. Take this opportunity to recognize the unsung heroes whose contributions have made a significant impact on the lives of others.

Recognition and Ceremony: Selected honorees will be celebrated at a ceremony later this year, acknowledging their remarkable contributions and exemplary dedication to Indiana communities.
