Purdue welcomes AgDay TV college roadshow

By Andi Anderson

Farm Journal's AgDay TV is bringing its 2024 College Roadshow back to Purdue University on Thursday, September 12th. This exciting event, sponsored by Beck's Hybrids, will take place on the Purdue AGAD Lawn at 10 a.m. and will feature a live taping of the popular television show.

Hosted by Farm Broadcaster Clinton Griffiths, the event will highlight the best of Purdue University, with a special panel discussion featuring notable Purdue experts.

This year’s panelists include Ariana Torres from the Horticulture & Landscape Architecture and Ag Economics departments, Chad Fiechter from Ag Economics, and Dan Quinn from Agronomy. These distinguished speakers will provide insights into their fields and discuss the latest developments in agriculture.

In addition to the panel discussion, Beck’s Hybrids will be hosting two exciting contests for students in attendance. Students are encouraged to bring creative "Game Day" style signs to the event. The most inventive signs will be entered into a contest for a chance to win a $250 Visa gift card.

Moreover, student clubs have a chance to compete for a $1,500 prize. The club with the best social video (on platforms like TikTok or Instagram) that creatively tags or incorporates both AgDay TV and Beck's Hybrids will be awarded the prize money for their chapter.

To qualify, the video must be posted to Instagram before 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 12th, and at least one member of the winning group must attend the panel taping.

This event is a fantastic opportunity for Purdue students to engage with the agricultural community, showcase their creativity, and potentially win great prizes. Be sure to mark your calendar and join the crowd on September 12th at 10 a.m. on the AGAD Lawn for an exciting day with AgDay TV and Beck's Hybrids.
