Indiana Ag to Convene for More COVID-19 Discussion

As a follow up to last week's conference call, the Indiana State Department of Agriculture and the Indiana State Board of Animal Health will be cohosting a conference call for those in the agricultural sector to discuss the current coronavirus situation.

This call will focus on issues impacting those in the agricultural sector, including, but not limited to, the impact of the stay-at-home order and other recent developments. Just a reminder: The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is not a foodborne pathogen and is not food transmitted.

This call is accessible by phone/audio only. (No video is provided.) Agriculture industry leaders, the Indiana State Board of Animal Health and the Indiana State Department of Agriculture are invited to attend March 27 beginning at noon EDT.

Tuesday, Indiana opened a call center to field industry questions about Governor Eric J. Holcomb's Executive Order 20-08, which provides for essential and non-essential business operations, infrastructure and government functions while the state observes a stay-at-home order from March 25-April 7.

The Critical Industries Hotline opened at 9 a.m. to help guide businesses and industries with the executive order. This center, reachable by calling 877-820-0890 or by emailing covidresponse@iedc.in.gov, is for business and industry questions only.
