The ABE Alumni and Friends Tailgate is set to bring together alumni, students, families, and supporters for an exciting day of fellowship and football. The annual event will take place on October 10, 2026 at the ABE building before the Purdue Boilermakers football team faces Minnesota.
The tailgate has become a popular tradition that allows members of the Agricultural and Biological Engineering community to reconnect, build new relationships, and celebrate school spirit. Organizers are preparing a welcoming atmosphere where attendees can enjoy food, entertainment, and social activities before heading to the football game.
Although the official kickoff time for the Purdue versus Minnesota game has not yet been announced, organizers expect the tailgate to begin approximately three hours before kickoff. Final event timing will be confirmed once the game schedule is finalized.
Attendees can look forward to a variety of activities designed to create a memorable game-day experience. Plenty of food will be available, giving guests an opportunity to relax and socialize with fellow attendees. The event will also feature photo opportunities, allowing alumni and friends to capture special memories with family, classmates, and colleagues.
One of the highlights of the gathering will be a tractor ride toward the stadium. This unique activity reflects the agricultural heritage of the ABE community and provides an enjoyable way for attendees to travel closer to the game venue.
The tailgate is free and open to everyone, making it an accessible event for alumni, current students, faculty, staff, families, and community supporters. Organizers encourage broad participation to strengthen connections within the ABE network and celebrate the accomplishments of the Purdue community.
For those planning to attend the football game, a dedicated ticket block has been reserved. Football tickets are available for purchase at a special rate of $41 each. Because ticket quantities are limited, interested attendees are encouraged to secure their seats as soon as possible. Information on ticket purchases will be provided through the registration confirmation email after signing up for the event.
Organizers are asking participants to register in advance so that food and event preparations can be planned accurately. Early registration helps ensure that enough food and resources are available for all guests and contributes to a smooth event experience.
The ABE Alumni and Friends Tailgate continues to serve as an important opportunity for networking, community building, and celebration. By combining football excitement with social engagement and agricultural traditions, the event creates a welcoming environment for participants of all ages.
As game day approaches, alumni and supporters can look forward to an enjoyable gathering filled with camaraderie, school pride, and memorable experiences before cheering on the Purdue Boilermakers against Minnesota.
