Animal Sciences Alumni Dinner Sparks Connections

Animal Sciences Alumni Dinner Sparks Connections

By Andi Anderson

The Department of Animal Sciences is hosting its annual Alumni Networking Dinner, offering a special opportunity for alumni and graduating seniors to come together in a supportive and professional environment.

Scheduled for December 12, 2025, at the Beck’s Center, the event will run from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will serve as a meaningful gathering for individuals connected to the Animal Sciences program.

The event features a catered dinner and a friendly “mocktail” hour designed to encourage easy conversation and mentorship between alumni and students. Alumni will have the chance to share their career experiences, provide industry insights, and offer helpful guidance to students preparing to enter the workforce.

Graduating seniors enrolled in the ANSC 48100 capstone class will benefit from learning directly from past graduates who have successfully transitioned into their professional roles.

The dinner program includes brief remarks from the Department Head, who will highlight recent accomplishments in the department and express appreciation for alumni who continue to support students.

A short presentation will introduce the December graduating seniors, giving attendees an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the next generation of Animal Sciences professionals.

The evening will also include a small awards presentation to honor alumni who have contributed significantly to academic programs, student development, or community engagement.

This event helps strengthen the bond between the university and its graduates, creating a strong network that supports both personal growth and professional advancement. For students preparing to begin their careers, the chance to connect with alumni offers valuable encouragement and real-world perspective.

For alumni, the dinner provides a moment to reconnect with the department, meet fellow professionals, and celebrate the continuing success of the program.

By fostering communication between generations of students and graduates, the Alumni Networking Dinner promotes learning, collaboration, and long-term engagement within the Animal Sciences community.
