The Indiana Livestock Breeders Association (ILBA) Hall of Fame (HOF) inductees for 2022 are Jim and Lynn Carey of Sheridan and Ted Hunt of Battle Ground.
Honorees are selected annually, and currently are recognized in the Coliseum prior to the Grand Drive at the Indiana State Fair.
The HOF was started in the 1930s by ILBA and was made up of all statewide breed associations for beef, dairy, horse, pleasure horse, sheep, swine and goat breeds.
The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to recognize those individuals involved in animal science, who have made significant contributions or attained outstanding achievements in the livestock industry.
Changes have taken place over the years, and today the HOF continues through the efforts of representatives of the beef, dairy, horse, sheep and swine industries under the name of ILBA HOF committee. . A reception for the Careys and Hunt will take place at 4 p.m. on Aug. 7 in the west end of the Champions Pavilion at the Indiana State Fair.
