The event brought together seven Indiana FFA State Officers and numerous FFA members, who received a proclamation and resolution in recognition of their contributions to agriculture.
Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch commended the FFA's dynamic and youth-led approach, expressing excitement about celebrating National FFA Week and supporting agriculture year-round. Throughout the week, FFA chapters across the state will host various events, from school animal experiences to farmer's breakfasts, to educate and celebrate the agricultural industry.
Governor Holcomb signed a proclamation acknowledging the Indiana FFA Organization, agricultural educators, and FFA advisors for cultivating the next generation of agriculturists. The Indiana FFA State Officers will engage in activities across the state, fostering collaboration with local chapters and communities.
A Senate Concurrent Resolution, led by Senator Jean Leising and Representative Michael Aylesworth, highlighted the FFA Organization's impact, preparing over 14,000 members in 90 counties for diverse careers in the food, fiber, and natural resource sectors.
Carson Rudd, the Indiana FFA State Reporter, expressed enthusiasm for promoting agricultural education during meetings with legislators, emphasizing the continuous support from the state's legislature.
Tamara Ketchen, Director of the Indiana FFA Association, encouraged local chapters to showcase their success and passion for agriculture during National FFA Week.
