An award-winning Wisconsin Christmas tree farm will receive national attention later this month when White House officials visit to select the 2026 Official White House Christmas Tree.
The event is scheduled for September 21 at Silent Night Evergreens, a family-operated farm in Endeavor, Wisconsin. Officials from the White House, led by Superintendent of Grounds Dale Haney, will review potential trees and choose the one destined for one of the nation's most recognized holiday displays.
Silent Night Evergreens earned the opportunity after winning the 2026 National Christmas Tree Association Grand Champion title. The achievement gives the farm both industry recognition and the privilege of presenting the Official White House Christmas Tree.
The honor reflects decades of dedication by the Chapman family, which has built a reputation for producing premium Christmas trees. Over the years, the farm has received multiple national awards, demonstrating consistent quality and leadership within the Christmas tree industry.
Organizers have planned a morning program featuring industry representatives, agricultural leaders, and community supporters before the tree selection begins. Following introductory remarks, White House officials will inspect several candidates and determine which tree best meets the requirements for display at the White House.
The selected tree will remain on the farm until preparations begin its transportation to Washington, D.C. Later in the fall, it will be harvested and presented as the Official White House Christmas Tree during a ceremony at the White House.
The tradition of providing a tree for the White House is deeply connected to American agriculture. Since 1966, winners of the National Christmas Tree Association's competition have supplied the official holiday tree.
