The Indiana Soybean Alliance (ISA) is calling for farmer leaders to join its 24-member Board of Directors. The board oversees investments made through Indiana’s soybean checkoff program, supporting market development, sustainability, and farmer engagement.
About the ISA Board The ISA board represents nearly 20,000 soybean farmers who contribute to the checkoff program. It allocates funds to programs that expand markets, promote sustainability, and engage Indiana’s farming community. With eight board seats up for election in 2025, the ISA seeks fresh perspectives to continue these efforts.
District 4 Openings District 4, encompassing 36 counties, is guaranteed at least one new representative, as Mike Koehne of Greensburg will complete his third term at the end of 2025. Kevin Burbrink of Seymour is also nearing the end of his second term, leaving opportunities for new candidates.
Eligibility and Deadlines Candidates must be Indiana soybean farmers contributing to the checkoff program. Applications for the 2025 election are open now and must be submitted by Friday, February 28, 2025. This is a chance for farmers to influence critical decisions about checkoff investments and represent the voice of their peers.
