Indiana's agricultural prowess extends beyond being the nation's leader in popcorn, gourds, and duck production, as revealed by the recent USDA Census of Agriculture. The state boasts a robust agribusiness environment, evidenced by its fourth position in soybean production, fifth in corn and hog production, and a staggering total ag production value exceeding $18 billion.
These statistics only scratch the surface of why AgBioScience companies are choosing Indiana as their home. According to AgriNovus Indiana, the state ranks second in the nation for the cost of doing business, offers the best state regulatory environment, and claims the third position in state infrastructure quality.
The recent QUADRANT event, organized by AgriNovus Indiana, spotlighted the thriving AgBioSciences industry in the state. Dr. Reza Rasoulpour, VP of Global Regulatory and Stewardship Leader at Corteva Agriscience, emphasized the strategic advantages of Indiana as the company's headquarters.
"When deciding where to put our headquarters five years ago, Indiana was the logical choice. We're here in the Heartland, close to customers, able to understand and provide tools in farmers' toolboxes. Crucially, we have plant health, animal health, and human health all thriving in the Indiana Biosciences community," stated Rasoulpour.
Corteva Agriscience invests over $4 million daily in research and development, attracting talent from across the globe to contribute to Indiana's thriving bioscience community.
AgriNovus, in collaboration with Indiana government officials and industry leaders like Corteva, actively works to attract more companies and talent to further enhance the state's agricultural innovation.
Dr. Rasoulpour extended an invitation to those interested in making a significant impact on the world: "If you want to have a really significant impact on the world, please come and join us at Corteva and come and join us in Indiana.
