Purdue Ag Alumni Grants Support Student Growth

Purdue Ag Alumni Grants Support Student Growth

By Andi Anderson

The Purdue College of Agriculture is offering grant opportunities to support educational programs, professional development activities, and alumni engagement initiatives in 2027. These funds are designed to help strengthen learning experiences and create valuable opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and organizations connected to the college.

The funding is provided through the Ag Alumni Trust Fund, which was established in 1967 by the Purdue Agricultural Alumni Association. The trust fund was created to provide flexible financial support for important college needs that may not be covered through other funding sources. Over the years, the fund has played an important role in supporting projects and activities that contribute to the growth and success of the College of Agriculture.

For the 2027 funding cycle, approximately $20,000 will be available for distribution. Most approved grants are expected to range from $1,000 to $2,500. These funds can be used to support a variety of initiatives that benefit the college community and promote academic and professional development.

The grant program focuses on projects that enhance educational experiences, encourage stronger connections with alumni, and provide opportunities for personal and professional growth. Activities supported by the grants may include workshops, leadership programs, networking events, conferences, training opportunities, and other initiatives that contribute to student and organizational success.

By investing in educational and professional advancement opportunities, the program aims to help participants gain valuable knowledge, develop important skills, and build relationships that can support future careers. Alumni engagement is another key objective, helping current students and college stakeholders connect with experienced professionals who can offer guidance, mentorship, and industry insights.

The availability of these grants reflects the continued commitment of Purdue’s agricultural alumni community to support future generations of agricultural leaders. Through financial assistance, the program encourages innovative ideas and meaningful projects that strengthen the College of Agriculture and its broader network.

Individuals and groups interested in applying are encouraged to review the program guidelines, eligibility requirements, application criteria, and timeline before submitting their proposals. Early preparation can help applicants develop strong project plans that clearly demonstrate the value and potential impact of their initiatives.

The application deadline for the 2027 grant program is Saturday, October 31, 2026. Eligible applicants are encouraged to submit their proposals before the deadline to be considered for funding.

Through these grants, Purdue College of Agriculture continues to support learning, leadership development, alumni involvement, and professional growth, helping create meaningful opportunities that benefit both current students and the wider agricultural community.
