Purdue Spring Fest 2026 Welcomes Community for Hands on Learning

By Andi Anderson

Purdue University will host Purdue Spring Fest 2026, an in person campus event designed to bring science, agriculture, and culture together through hands on learning experiences.

The festival welcomes students, families, and community members to explore a wide range of interactive activities across the Purdue campus.

The event takes place on April 18, 2026, and features programs connected to science, technology, engineering, arts, and agriculture.

Visitors can take part in learning experiences created to spark curiosity and encourage discovery for people of all ages. Purdue Spring Fest continues to be known for combining education with fun in a welcoming campus environment.

One of the highlights of the event is the College of Veterinary Medicine open house. Guests can explore animal health education, meet professionals, and learn more about veterinary science.

Another popular attraction is the Bug Bowl, a long standing Purdue tradition that introduces visitors to the world of insects through engaging demonstrations and activities. The plant sale also draws strong interest, offering visitors the chance to learn about plants while supporting agricultural education.

To help guests navigate the festival, an information tent will be available at site one, located in front of the Agricultural Administration Building. Visitors can stop by this tent to receive a pocket guide that includes a campus map and a full list of activities. This guide helps guests plan their visit and make the most of their time at the event.

Purdue Spring Fest is hosted by the College of Agriculture, with support from the Department of Agricultural Communications. The event reflects Purdue’s commitment to sharing knowledge, promoting agriculture, and strengthening connections with the community.

The festival encourages learning through direct experience and personal interaction. By offering hands on activities and open access to campus programs, Purdue Spring Fest helps students and visitors better understand agriculture, science, and the role they play in everyday life.

For more information, interested participants can contact the event coordinator through Purdue University’s Agricultural Communications department.
