Celebrating Young Achievers in Indiana Agriculture


The Indiana Farm Bureau is proud to honor and celebrate the achievements of young farmers and agricultural professionals who are making a big difference in farming. Awards like Rising Star, Excellence in Agriculture, and Achievement recognize these special individuals for their positive impact on their communities and the farming world.

Rachel Hyde - Rising Star Award Meet Rachel Hyde, a seventh-generation farmer from Hamilton County. She's being recognized as a Rising Star in farming. Rachel is deeply involved in the Farm Bureau, community projects, and programs for professional growth. Her dedication has earned her the Rising Star Award, along with $2,000 and a trip to the prestigious American Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers Conference in 2024.

Chelsea O’Brien - Excellence in Agriculture Award Chelsea O’Brien's journey from her grandfather's dairy farm to her current role as a marketing communications manager at Superior Ag cooperative shows her love for farming. She not only works in agriculture but also helps local organizations and the Farm Bureau. Chelsea's outstanding efforts have won her the Excellence in Agriculture Award, which includes $11,000 and a special trip to the 2024 American Farm Bureau convention.

Mark and Jessica Wenning - Achievement Award Meet Mark and Jessica Wenning, an amazing couple from Henry County. They're being honored with the Achievement Award for their commitment to sustainable practices, community involvement, and family farming. They also inspire other young farmers and take part in 4-H and FFA. Their prize includes $11,000 and a chance to compete at the 2024 American Farm Bureau convention, plus the respected David L. Leising Memorial Award.

These young achievers are the future of Indiana's agriculture. Their incredible work will be celebrated at the INFB state convention in December, where their dedication and impact on farming will shine.
