Clean Air Recognition and Scholarship Opportunity


Partners for Clean Air (PCA) and the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) are seeking nominations for the 2024 Partners in Clean Air Awards and scholarship applications. The newly introduced membership structure encourages wider participation, especially from individuals and smaller businesses. 

Award Nominations: 

  • PCA invites nominations in business, municipal, and industrial categories. 
  • The Mark Siminski Bicycle Award honors cycling promotion efforts. 
  • Eligibility includes entities in Northwest Indiana. 
  • Submit nominations, including self-nominations, by April 30, 2024, at on.IN.gov/PCAaward
  • Award winners announced at the June 14, 2024, Annual Luncheon and Awards Ceremony. 

Scholarship Opportunities: 

  • PCA offers $2,500 scholarships to high school seniors in Lake, Porter, or LaPorte counties. 
  • Students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher can apply. 
  • Consideration limited to the first 100 applications received by PCA by April 30, 2024. 
  • Scholarship winners revealed at the June Annual Luncheon and Awards Ceremony. 

New Membership Structure: 

  • PCA introduces five membership options: Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Green. 
  • Membership benefits vary; join at any time during the year.

PCA Chairman Scott Nelson, Director of Business Development for Telamon Energy, is enthusiastic about the scholarship program as an investment in future clean air leaders.
