Digital Ag Connect Inspires Smart Farming

Digital Ag Connect Inspires Smart Farming

By Andi Anderson

Digital Ag Connect is a professional networking and poster session designed to support learning, collaboration, and innovation in modern agriculture. The event focuses on digital and advanced agricultural systems that are transforming how farming, research, and technology work together.

The program is hosted by the Institute for Digital and Advanced Agricultural Systems and supported by several academic and research organizations. It provides a welcoming space for faculty, researchers, students, and professionals to meet, exchange ideas, and explore new approaches in agriculture.

The event encourages participants to build meaningful connections across disciplines. Attendees can interact directly with innovators and peers who are working on projects related to data driven farming, digital tools, advanced systems, and sustainable agricultural practices.

A key feature of the event is the poster session. Poster displays present research projects and creative work from different academic fields. These posters make complex ideas easier to understand and allow students and researchers to explain their work in a clear and engaging way.

Digital Ag Connect also helps students gain confidence and professional skills. By presenting posters and speaking with faculty and industry professionals, students learn how to share knowledge, ask questions, and think critically about future challenges in agriculture.

The event promotes teamwork across departments and encourages collaboration between science, technology, agriculture, and environmental studies. It highlights how digital tools can support smarter decisions, improve productivity, and protect natural resources.

Digital Ag Connect will take place on Friday, May 8, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Marriott Hall. The time and location allow participants to attend comfortably and take part in all activities.

Overall, Digital Ag Connect supports learning, innovation, and community building. It helps prepare the next generation of agricultural leaders by providing opportunities to explore new ideas, connect with experts, and understand how digital agriculture is shaping the future of global farming systems.
