Membership and Policy Committee (M&P) organize "Shop Talk" meetings in Indiana. These meetings allow farmers and lawmakers to discuss matters in a relaxed setting. The schedule for this year's "Shop Talk" is as follows:

- Aug. 7: Flat Rock, Ind. – Hosted by Jim Douglas
- Aug. 8: Windfall, Ind. – Hosted by Scott Smith
- Aug. 14: Albion, Ind. – Hosted by Eric Strater
- Aug. 25: Greensburg, Ind. – Hosted by Mike Koehne
- Aug. 28: LaGrange, Ind. – Hosted by Carey McKibben
- Aug. 29: LaCrosse, Ind. – Hosted by Denise Scarborough
These sessions start at 8 a.m. and include coffee and doughnuts. Notable figures like U.S. Rep. Greg Pence and State Rep. Heath VanNatter will speak at some. Steve Howell from ICGA will give updates on farm policy. After each session, Purdue Extension offers a Pesticide Applicator Recertification Program (PARP) course.
Topics include the farm bill reauthorization, crop insurance, support for Agriculture Risk Coverage and Price Loss Coverage, and boosting Market Development and Foreign Market Development. They also discuss promoting higher ethanol blends in gasoline, biodiesel's tax credit, and soybean oil's potential in Sustainable Aviation Fuel. Trade policy is also a focus.
