Indiana crop progress and condition report

Corn harvest is nearing completion, with 97% of the crop now harvested. This is on pace with last year and 10 days ahead of the 5-year average. Farmers in South Central Iowa still have over 10% of their corn for grain crop remaining to be harvested.

Soybean harvest is also wrapping up, with 94% of the crop now harvested. This is ahead of both last year and the 5-year average.

Winter wheat condition is stable, with 71% of the emerged crop rated in good to excellent condition.

Cattle are reported to be doing well, with many livestock being moved to winter lots.

Other activities for the week included tilling, grain hauling, mowing, fertilizing, equipment maintenance, and equipment storage.
