Indiana Farm Bureau Hosts "Seeds of Inspiration" Program for Women in Agriculture

Indiana Farm Bureau recently hosted the 'Seeds of Inspiration' program for women in the agriculture sector. The event took place at the Ivy Tech Conference Center in Marion, and participants engaged in team-building activities that aimed to foster growth and development. The program also encouraged women to share their unique stories in the agricultural industry.

The event featured guest speakers, including Indiana State Auditor Tera Klutz and INFB Second Vice President Isabella Chism, who shared their personal backgrounds and offered advice on pursuing goals without bias or barriers. Chism, who is also the chair of the INFB Women's Leadership Committee, emphasized the importance of empowering women to share their stories and experiences.

The 'Seeds of Inspiration' program was organized by INFB's Districts 4 and 6 Education and Outreach coordinators, Janis Highley and Amber Rushton, to create a safe space for female members to build trust and encourage communication and collaboration. The program was offered to female members in the 18 counties of Districts 4 and 6, including Adams, Blackford, Delaware, Grant, Hamilton, Hancock, Henry, Howard, Huntington, Jay, Madison, Marion, Miami, Randolph, Tipton, Wabash, Wayne, and Wells.

Highley and Rushton are members of INFB Women's Leadership Committee, where they work to educate the public through programs and events that promote a positive image of agriculture.
