John Deere Day at Purdue University is designed to connect students with agricultural technology, career opportunities, and the people behind innovation. The event combines hands-on learning with career insights, making it a valuable experience for students across disciplines.
Throughout the day, visitors can explore John Deere equipment, displays, and interactive virtual reality simulators. Deere employees will be available to answer questions, share experiences, and provide insights into career opportunities within the company.
Students will also be able to enjoy giveaways and free food offered at different times during the day.
In addition to interactive exhibits, John Deere Day will host information sessions under the Engineering Fountain tent. These sessions will cover topics such as finding the right career path, tips on landing internships, and hearing directly from interns and development program members about their experiences.
The schedule includes:
- Find Your Field: Career Info Session — 10:30-11:20 a.m. and 1:30-2:20 p.m.
- How to Land That Internship — 11:30 a.m.-12:20 p.m. and 2:30-3:20 p.m.
- The Deere Experience Panel — 12:30-1:20 p.m.
John Deere Day is part of a larger lineup of Purdue career fairs and events. These include the Day with Industry on September 7, Computer Science Career Fair on September 8, Industrial Roundtable on September 9, ECE Boilermaker Circuit and Daniels School of Business fairs on September 11, Construction Management Technology Fair on September 26, and the Agriculture Fall Career Fair on October 7.
By combining technology, education, and networking, John Deere Day helps students prepare for future opportunities in agriculture, business, and engineering while showcasing the innovative spirit driving the industry forward.
