Much Needed Rain Stabilized Crop Conditions in Indiana

The USDA says the Indiana wheat harvest is in full swing.

Excellent fieldwork conditions throughout much of the State spurred winter wheat harvest progress, according to Nathanial Warenski of the National Agricultural Statistic’s Service.

The weekly crop weather report says timely rains throughout much of the State stabilized crop conditions and facilitated pasture regrowth.

Corn silking progress fell behind its five-year average pace while corn condition was rated 53 percent good to excellent.
