Nestle Builds Resilient Food Systems

Nestle Builds Resilient Food Systems

By Jamie Martin

Nestlé is expanding its commitment to regenerative agriculture through new global partnerships with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and Goodwall. These collaborations are designed to help farmers adopt sustainable practices while encouraging young people to see agriculture as a secure and meaningful career.

"Regenerative agriculture is essential to the long-term resilience of our business and the global food system," said Stephanie Hart, Chief Operations Officer of Nestlé. "By combining TNC's conservation expertise with Goodwall's ability to mobilize millions of young people, we can accelerate progress and build a more sustainable future for farmers, communities and the planet."

Regenerative agriculture plays a key role in protecting soil health, improving biodiversity, and strengthening farm resilience. Nestlé is working with TNC to build on the Nestlé Agriculture Framework, which supports farmers in producing better crops, earning stable incomes, and caring for the environment at the same time. The partnership focuses on expanding proven, science-based solutions that can be applied across different regions.

By combining Nestlé’s global reach with TNC’s conservation expertise, the initiative aims to accelerate the transition to more sustainable farming systems. These efforts also encourage other industry stakeholders to participate in building a healthier global food supply.

Nestlé is also addressing the need for future agricultural leaders by partnering with Goodwall, a youth learning and engagement platform. Together, they will create interactive learning experiences that introduce young people to regenerative agriculture. Through digital tools and gamified learning, students will gain practical knowledge, explore real farming challenges, and develop innovative solutions as future agripreneurs.

These initiatives support Nestlé’s long-term goal of making regenerative agriculture a common practice across its sourcing network. They also align with the company’s broader work with global farming organizations to strengthen food systems and help farmers adapt to climate change.

The collaborations were formally introduced at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos. During a panel discussion, leaders from Nestlé, TNC, and Goodwall highlighted how partnerships, youth involvement, and sustainable agriculture are essential for building inclusive and climate smart food systems for the future.
