The Indiana Green Expo is recognized as Indiana’s largest and most comprehensive educational conference and trade show dedicated to the green industry. Serving professionals across Indiana and the Midwest, the event focuses on education, innovation, and long-term industry improvement.
The conference is sponsored by the Indiana Nursery and Landscape Association along with the Midwest Regional Turf Foundation. Unlike many for-profit trade shows, the Indiana Green Expo follows a unique model where all proceeds are reinvested directly into the industry.
These funds support research initiatives, educational programs, and other activities designed to strengthen and advance green industry professions.
Each year, the event brings together academic experts and industry leaders to deliver practical and timely educational content. Purdue University works closely with industry partners to develop a strong program that reflects current challenges and opportunities.
The educational sessions are designed to meet the needs of a wide audience, including landscapers, nursery operators, turf managers, and business owners.
Educational programming covers a broad range of topics. These include plant health care, professional development, business operations, marketing strategies, and hardscaping techniques. A full Spanish-language educational track is also offered, helping ensure learning opportunities are accessible to a wider group of industry professionals.
In addition to education, the trade show remains a major highlight of the event. Vendors from across the region display new products, tools, and technologies that support green industry work.
Many exhibitors also offer special promotions during the show, giving attendees the chance to explore solutions that can improve efficiency and business performance.
The Indiana Green Expo also creates valuable opportunities for networking. Attendees can connect with peers, educators, researchers, and suppliers in a professional environment focused on learning and collaboration.
These connections often lead to new ideas, partnerships, and improved practices across the industry.
By combining education, research, and industry support, the Indiana Green Expo continues to play an important role in strengthening the green industry. Its commitment to reinvesting proceeds ensures long-term benefits for professionals, businesses, and the broader agricultural and environmental sectors.
