Rep Yakym Completes One Big Beautiful Hoosier Tour across Indiana

By Andi Anderson

Congressman Rudy Yakym (IN-02) has wrapped up his “One Big Beautiful Hoosier Tour” with a final stop at the Boys and Girls Club in Nappanee.

The month-long tour took him to all 11 counties in Indiana’s Second District, where he met thousands of constituents, farmers, workers, and small business owners to hear firsthand how the One Big Beautiful Bill Act is making an impact.

Rep. Yakym emphasized that the strength of Indiana lies in its people. “The One Big Beautiful Bill was written for them, and because of them,” he said, adding that the tour reinforced his belief that Hoosiers thrive when they can keep more of what they earn.

Throughout the tour, Yakym visited manufacturing facilities, farms, educational institutions, and community organizations.

Stops included the RV industry hub in Elkhart, Notre Dame’s new microelectronics facility in South Bend, Cass County farms, and local businesses from Bailey’s Discount Center to Garwood Orchards. He also met with agriculture leaders at Farm Bureau Shop Talks, highlighting provisions that expand deductions for farm equipment and provide estate tax relief to preserve family farms.

Key provisions of the bill discussed during the tour included tax relief for middle-income families, bonus depreciation for manufacturers, no tax on overtime and tips, expanded child care credits, and strengthened research and development incentives.

Farmers, small businesses, and manufacturers were among those Yakym said benefit most from these pro-growth policies.

The congressman also participated in community-focused events, including the dedication of a road honoring the late Congresswoman Jackie Walorski, visits with local chambers of commerce, and roundtables with education and law enforcement leaders.

By the conclusion of the tour, Yakym reiterated his commitment to ensuring Indiana remains a leader in agriculture, manufacturing, and innovation. He credited Hoosiers’ resilience and optimism as the driving force behind the success of both the tour and the bill.
