Gutwein Seed Services (GSS) invites area farmers to its “Better advice. Better seed. Bigger yield.” event on December 3 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. CST at Fair Oaks Farms in Fair Oaks, Indiana. The event will focus on helping farmers maximize profitability and crop performance for the 2026 growing season.
According to owner Brock Gutwein, the event aims to combine fun and learning by providing valuable insights into improving yield and sustainability.
Attendees will gain first-hand knowledge from an impressive lineup of speakers, including Rob Sharkey, host of the popular SharkFarmer Podcast; Andrew Penney, Bayer Technical Agronomist for Preceon Smart Corn; and Peter Rousonelos from Meristem Crop Performance.
The program will highlight how Gutwein Seed Services combines elite corn and soybean genetics with microbial planter box treatments using patented Bio-Capsule Technology™. This innovation helps improve plant health, nutrient uptake, and resistance against pests and diseases.
Penney will discuss maximizing return on investment using the Preceon Smart Corn System and how short corn hybrids enhance nutrient use efficiency.
The event will also feature the unveiling of GSS’s 2026 corn pail lineup, including Prephyte™ ST, a broad-spectrum EPA-registered biofungicide designed to control soil-borne diseases and improve crop strength.
Rousonelos will share how Meristem’s biological tools support higher yields through improved performance and tailored products for regional growing conditions. Lunch will be provided, and attendees can network with fellow farmers and agribusiness professionals.
