The 166th Indiana State Fair was really special. They showed off the new Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion and celebrated the Year of Basketball. People had a lot of fun enjoying yummy food, cool exhibits, cute animals, and exciting rides. One new thing, the Illuminate Lantern Display, was a big hit. It had more than 50,000 lanterns that made beautiful pictures at night.
The basketball stuff was also cool. They had games and things that taught us about basketball in Indiana. Every day, there were free concerts with famous singers like Nelly, Florida Georgia Line, and The Chainsmokers.
Lots of folks – over 840,000 – came to the fair, a bit more than last year. They started using the new Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion for events like the Indiana State Fair Swine Competitions. The fair liked basketball a lot this time, and it was a great way to learn about Indiana's past.
Remember to mark your calendars for the 167th Indiana State Fair from July 26 to August 19, 2024. It's going to be even more awesome, keeping up the Indiana tradition and culture alive.
