By Andi Anderson

Farm Credit Mid-America recently concluded its Board of Directors and 2025 Nominating Committee elections, bringing new faces to its governance structures.

Among the elected, Dale Koester from Wadesville, Indiana, has been chosen to serve on the Board of Directors.

Dale Koester co-owns and operates Koester Brothers Farms, Inc., a diverse dairy and grain operation based in Southwestern Indiana. His extensive experience in the agricultural sector positions him well to contribute to the board’s strategic objectives.

Koester's election underscores the cooperative’s commitment to representing a broad spectrum of agricultural operations within its leadership.

The Farm Credit Mid-America Board consists of 17 members, with 15 being stockholder-elected positions and two appointed as outside directors.

This board sets policies and provides strategic direction for the cooperative, ensuring it meets the needs of its customer-owners effectively.

Alongside the Board of Directors, the election also saw the selection of members for the 2025 Nominating Committee, responsible for identifying candidates for future elections.

From Indiana, the newly elected committee members include Dan Arnholt, A.J. Booher, Katharine Burger, Lisa Hammock, and Scott Maple. These individuals will play a crucial role in shaping the governance of Farm Credit Mid-America by selecting qualified candidates who can drive the cooperative towards achieving its goals.

The representation of Indiana in both the Board of Directors and the Nominating Committee highlights the importance of this state in the broader agricultural landscape of the cooperative.

It ensures that the unique agricultural challenges and opportunities in Indiana are considered in the cooperative's strategic planning and decision-making processes.

This election brings experienced individuals into key roles and reflects the cooperative’s dedication to democratic governance and regional representation, ensuring that all members have a voice in the direction of the cooperative.
