The Indiana State Department of Agriculture is now accepting submissions for the 18th annual Indiana Agriculture Photo Contest.

Open to all Indiana residents, this contest aims to showcase the hard work and dedication of Hoosier farmers and the beauty of the state’s agricultural landscapes.

Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith, Indiana’s Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development, encouraged residents to participate: “We hope Hoosiers will take this opportunity to highlight Indiana agriculture and display the beauty of the state.”

The contest features four main categories for photo submissions:

  • On the Farm: Featuring any building, equipment, or activity that’s part of life on an Indiana farm.
  • Faces of Agriculture: Highlighting the people who grow and produce food, fuel, and fiber.
  • Agritourism: Showcasing seasonal agricultural destinations like orchards, wineries, and farmers markets.
  • Conservation: Depicting Indiana’s natural beauty, landscapes, and wildlife.

Ten winners will be chosen: two from each category and two overall winners. The winners will be invited to a special ceremony at the Indiana State Fair, where they will receive certificates from Lt. Gov.

Beckwith and Indiana State Department of Agriculture Director Don Lamb. Their photos will also be displayed in the Lt. Governor’s Family of Business offices in Indianapolis.

Contestants may submit up to five digital photos, with each photo requiring a submission form. Photos will be judged based on creativity, composition, and how well they represent their category. All entries must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. ET on June 30, 2025.

The 2024 photo contest’s overall winner, "Like Father, Like Daughter," taken by Jadin Wolf from Marengo, IN, is a great example of the impactful storytelling the contest celebrates.
