Chaynee Tennant, hailing from Wabash County, had a remarkable evening at the Farm Credit MidAmerica's Grand Drive event on Sunday night. She secured not just one, but two prestigious titles - Grand Champion Meat Goat Wether and Reserve Champion Market Lamb.
Tennant, a 10-year 4-Her, was ecstatic to win two championships. She attributed her success to the support of her family and friends.
It wouldn't be possible without her mom and dad, her brother and his fiancée, and her grandparents. She also thanked Kyler, Allison, and Alex for helping her and her family get their sheep to look their best each and every day.
Tennant was particularly proud of her Meat Goat Wether, which she named Bubba. She said Bubba was a special goat from the moment she got him. Tennant said she knew Bubba was special, but she didn't know how special he was until they brought him to the Grand Drive.
Tennant's success at the Grand Drive is a testament to her hard work and dedication. She is a role model for the other 4-Hers, and her story shows that anything is possible if you set your mind to it.
