Two Indiana Flocks Cleared for Restocking



The Indiana Board of Animal Health on Wednesday reported that flocks known as Allen2 and Allen3 have been cleared for restocking at the owner's discretion following clearing the facilities of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza.

Both non-commercial flocks, HPAI was confirmed in Allen2 and Allen3 on June 7 and June 8, respectively,

Only case Elkhart4, a non-commercial block, confirmed with HPAI on Sept. 1, has not been cleared.

As of Wednesday, the total number of birds affected in Indiana by HPAI were:

Commercial Turkeys: 171,733

Commercial Ducks: 17,703

Non-Commercial: 466
