Indiana Grown Offers $30K Grant to Boost Trade Show Presence

By Andi Anderson

Indiana Grown is extending a financial boost to its members by offering $30,000 in grant funding for those interested in exhibiting at tradeshows. This initiative is geared towards businesses with commercially ready products seeking to expand their market presence.

Tradeshows provide a crucial platform for connecting with unique customers and business-to-business clients. However, for Indiana Grown members, obstacles such as booth fees, travel expenses, and setup costs can be deterrents. The $30,000 grant is strategically designed to alleviate some of these financial burdens, ensuring that Hoosier businesses can showcase their offerings not only locally but also across the U.S. and the globe.

Grant awards will range from $1,000 to $5,000 and will be reimbursed, with no upfront costs required. Eligible expenses covered by the grant include booth space rental, booth design, shipping, material handling, installation, and other trade show-related fees. Additionally, trade show auxiliary service fees, such as those for trash, sampling, and electrical services, are also covered.

To qualify for the grant, businesses must be Indiana Grown members, not utilizing any other grant or cost-sharing program for the specified trade show. They must have a commercially ready product with existing sales and be classified as a small business according to the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Interested Indiana Grown members can find application details, scoring criteria, and post-award requirements on the organization's website at Indianagrown.org. Any inquiries can be directed to indianagrown@isda.in.gov. This initiative aims to empower local businesses, ensuring Indiana-made products gain recognition and appreciation on a broader scale.
