The Indiana Horticulture and Small Farm Conference will take place from March 3 to March 5, 2026, bringing together growers, educators, and industry experts for a new and expanded learning experience.
This event combines two well known Purdue Extension programs into one unified conference designed to better serve specialty crop growers and small farmers across the region.
The conference will be held at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds, located at 1900 East Main Street in Danville, Indiana.
Sessions and activities will run throughout all three days, giving participants the opportunity to learn, connect, and share ideas in a supportive and professional setting.
This newly combined conference is designed to meet the changing needs of modern growers. By merging horticulture and small farm programming, Purdue Extension aims to provide more complete and practical education.
Topics will focus on specialty crops, farm management, production practices, and new approaches that help small and mid sized farms remain productive and profitable.
Educational sessions will be led by experienced Purdue Extension specialists and other experts. These sessions will offer clear and useful information that growers can apply directly to their operations.
The program is planned to support both experienced farmers and those who are newer to horticulture or small scale farming.
In addition to classroom learning, the conference will encourage networking and discussion among attendees. Farmers from different parts of the region will be able to exchange experiences, learn from one another, and build connections that can support long term success.
This interaction is especially valuable for small farm operators who benefit from shared knowledge and cooperation.
By hosting this event, Purdue Extension continues its commitment to strengthening local agriculture. The Indiana Horticulture and Small Farm Conference reflects the importance of education, innovation, and collaboration in agriculture today.
Growers who attend can expect practical guidance, reliable information, and a clearer understanding of how to adapt to future challenges.
The conference is open to all interested specialty crop growers and small farmers who want to improve their skills and stay informed about current agricultural practices.
